Hmmm…
- Watched Bride & Prejudice at home last evening. The English version of the movie, that is: man! The songs were in English and were hilarious for all the wrong reasons, particularly the wanna-be-a-Yash-Chopra-love-song number… Plus, the lead characters have about as much mutual chemistry as two (admittedly very pretty) lumps of asbestos.
I did enjoy the movie, though. A couple of the highlights were the ’snake dance’ by the youngest of the four Bakshi sisters, and the all-too-literal translations of the Punjabi wedding song that the Miss Bingley character regales Darcy with at the start of the movie. Mostly, Anupham Kher got the best lines, and the chap playing Mr.Kohli was tremendously funny as the Mr.Collins equivalent.
- Veer-Zaara CD. Must say, the music is very good, and very relaxing. Specially liked the ‘Tere Liye’ number. Great stuff!
- I love A.R. Rahman’s music. Just think, what would have happened if their was no A.R. Rahman? There wourld have been no Lakshya, Lagaan, Bombay, Roja, Yuva, Sathiya… etc. Indian music owes a lot to him. And, now he is back with Swades. He is really the current GOD of Indian Music
- This break has helped me to get my CAT preparation on track as well. Since I am at home, I get enough time daily to devote to my studies. And, I think I’m performing fairly well in the SimCATs as well. Now, just hoping, this time I get lucky on Nov 21st
- When the going gets tough, the toughs get going. Sehwag finally troubled the scorers today
The match seems to be interestingly poised. Question is, can India win it from here and level the series? - Google has come out with a desktop search utility. Interesting!
What else…? Got to have dinner… Will have to eat that khichdi stuff again :(.. And, will have to continue eating this kind of stuff for next few months… Damn, jaundice is such a boring bemari
Bye for now.
Adios,
Manpreet

Awww… you don’t worry MSB. Khaana peena to hota rahega. Just make sure that you get well soon. Remember ‘health is wealth’.
I will be going to watch bride and prejudice tomorrow. Looks to be an entertaining movie.
Talking about Rahmaan, his music in Roja was out of this world. Specially the number - Yeh Haseen wadiyan, yeh khula asmaan. He’s awesome.

Aur, aate hi movies bhi start ho gayi.. sahi hai
[Rash] Lakshya music is good… not the best from A.R.Rahman’s stable.. but its certianly not bad..
