Golden Temple, paranthas and CAT
Went to visit Golden Temple at Amritsar last weekend. It’s such a nice place to visit. Previously, I used to go to Amritsar almost every 6 months or so. But, since I was out of Delhi for the past 15 months, I didn’t got a chance to visit the holy shrine. Amritsar is just about 450 kms away from Delhi, and it took just 5.5 hrs to reach by train. Only regret is that, I couldn’t eat at ‘Bhairavan da dhabha’. This small eatery joint just opposite the Golden Temple serves the bestest paranthas in the world, and its dirt cheap too. I remember last time I went there along with 6 friends, it costed us only about 110 bucks for a meal. But, this time, I had to resist it, thanks to my doc’s advice
Also, for the first time, I got a 50+ score in a SimCAT
:) and a 98%
:) I hope the graph continues in the upward direction
BTW, I am getting nightmares about filling up SPJain form. Don’t know how to write the essay questions in the form. Gawd, I need some help in writing these essays. Also, have to fillout MDI and XAT form asap. Last dates are approaching fast.. hmm

Golden Temple is a great place. Amritsar is an old city but the Golden Temple just brigthens the whole city up.
Bahut mast jagah hai. Its been quite long since I have been (1995) back to the Golden Temple, but I will go definitely the next time I am in Amritsar (which might be next year - cousin is getting married there).
Good job with the simCAT! I hope that you do well on the actual CAT as well!
How’s the health? I think you did the right thing by not eating those paranthas. Abhi 3-4 mahine aur baitha hoga ghar par hi if khaa liya hota.

First of all, I’d appreciate it if you’d stop referring to the Sikh’s holiest shrine as the “Golden Temple”. It’s called ‘Harmandir Sahib’.
No hard feelings though, just a little heads up for you people.
Remember. Reflect. Respond.

[gans] Thanks!
[Angad] Ya, I know its called Harmandir Sahib & Darbar Sahib as well… but I don’t know why you prefer one over the another..

Golden Temple is what teh westerners call it.
Besides I think it sounds materialistic
