Spam Comment

Recently, I’ve been experiencing bucket-full of spam comments on my blog. Most of these links look like to be pointing to porn sites - Haven’t checked them out myself, can’t open them from office. Till now I’ve been just deleting these comments on adhoc basis. But, looks like I’ll have to use some Anti-spam plugin. Any suggestions?

yes definitely….i am using…three strikes your out plugin from weblogtoolscollection.com. Its a great plugin and my spam has pretty much stopped. What else you can do is i can send you a list of spam words..and you can put that in your to the Discussion section when you login to write a post..and that way whenever someone uses those words, IP addresses, etc…they get moderated….and then you can go ahead and delete them prior to them even showing up on your website.

Thanks for the email. I don’t know why my site is pointing to fbi.gov..i am trying to figure it out right now..but for some reason i am getting a page cannot be displayed on my site…so i will hopefully have it figured out soon! :smile:

hey..just found out what was causing my problem about the fbi.gov.. it was this three strikes plugin.. so you have to be careful with it..i don’t know what happened from last night to this morning..but…something made it act goofy. Anyway, weblogtoolscollection.com has another good plugin … blacklist….so you can try that as well..otherwise…u can do the list thing…what i am doing…

comments on my website are now working. :smile:

You should try SPAM KARMA, which is pretty much the best anti comment SPAM program I have seen. You can download it from here. http://wp-plugins.net/
