Weekends
For first 21 years of my life, every day was a weekend and, every weekend was just like another day. Life meant 24×7 pure fun. There was absolutely no purpose, no aim, other than having a rocking & gala time. No alarms buzzing around to wake me up. Went to school/college only if I was in a mood or if there was an exam. Bunked college at will. Missed lectures. Went out for movies during college hours. Studied only when the exams were only a few steps away. Computer was meant only for playing games, listening to music, or surfing. With an ATM (read as my dad) always by my side, money was not an issue as well =). Hated home made food. Loved junk served outside. Watched almost all cricket matches from Ball 1 to the last ball. Zipped around on Delhi roads in dad’s car. Had my own personal room with almost everything that I could have asked for. Had no worries. No tensions at all.
And, then sometime during the fall of 2003, I got a job, a job many people could only dream of. I moved away from home with a vision of realizing my dreams, and making my folks proud. There was a big, big turnaround in my life. Now, I have to wake up by 8.30. Waking up later than that means having a tough time deciding – whether to bath or not :). Be in office by 9.30-10. Life revolves around the computer. Day in, day out, I have to sit in front of this dabba, design & write code. There is no time to smell the flowers or admire the stars and think of the world and beyond. My Pune home is not even a patch of my Delhi home. Have to share my room with another person. Food is another issue. Home made food is now what I want. Eating out is not my cup of tea, but I have no choice. =(
All this has made me realize the real meaning of weekend. God bless the soul who invented this concept, otherwise if he/she hadn’t done this… the thought itself gives me shivers!

You know those were the days…even i remember those days.
no worries and no issues. Now all worries and all issues. 
Work life is very much different…but its also a necessity in life…par abhi bhi tu khoob mast karta hai..enjoy karta hai..tere paas toh koi tension nahi hai life main.. 
Mere ko dekh…har week travel karti hoon… by the time i get home…i am out of energy..:sad:

Oh yeah SMS I know exactly what you mean… my life was pretty much the same for the past 18 years… but then college has changed that for me!! Dude you got atleast 3 extra years of fun… so no cribbing!!
and yea…. friday is here.. time to party and SLEEP and hopefully get some work done for next week :-s!!

While reading that for a moment I thought you writing about me lol except that I never missed college I got 100% attendance unless unwell…cant say the same about lectures lol hehehehehe …
Just enjoying whatever left of “Pre Manpreet working Phase of my life…lol :-p will soon end in some years ..
When I was in school.. I wanted to not go to school and grow up and start working…but in college never felt like growing .. more lol…just wish these days … remain forever lol…… the clock freezzzzzz college life the best ( except examz )

Can’t think of the world without weekends. They are sometimes the only source of motivation to keep one self on track in office
Tumne purani yadein tazza kardi… After a stint of 6 months only.. I m bored of work life.. initially it was good.. but now it feels monotonous…
But, i guess, once i complete my internship… and move back to delhi.. I can expect better things
And yup, all the best for the interviews… Ace them!!

College life is so much fun… make the best of use of it dude.. Enjoy before it ends!

Manpreet you got me wrong… lol I said I got good attendence in College and not lectures….. I didn’t say I have attended all the lectures lol..in lectures I might be having same 60-70% attendence …. many a times I have gone to college even after lectures over….and I have not attended that day….. just to catch up with friends ,
100% attendance in canteen ,college campus..and other hangout place….lol lectures yeah 60-70%
