Last 10-15 days have been busy as hell. Busy bole to B-U-S-Y with capital letters.

Upgraded to Wordpress 1.5
First of all, tried to upgrade my blog to latest version of Wordpress. Thanks to my own foolishness, it didn’t worked. Actually, forgot to upload couple of files. Result, my blog was showing an error message. But, as you have seen, this has been sorted out. I have even installed Chetan’s theme. Isn’t it awesome?

Interviews
Gave interviews for admission into management programs at IITs. Don’t want to say much on this issue. Just waiting for the results and keeping my fingers crossed. Wish me luck!

Work
These have been the busiest days of my life. Sleeping 6 hours a day is luxury to me. Ghar jake bus so jata hoon. That’s it. Haven’t even talked to my roomie since ages  If it continues this way, time will come when my roomie won’t even recognize me. LOL

Trip to Shirdi, Aurangabad & Ellora Caves
Ellora CavesBetween all this hectic schedule, I managed to visit Sai Baba’s temple at Shirdi. I along with 3 of my friends rented a car, and drove to Shirdi. It’s about 220 kms away from Pune. It was the first time, I drove on a highway. Needless to say, it was fun. Reached Shirdi on Saturday early morning, and went straight to the temple. Saw the ‘aarti‘ - was an amazing experience. This was only the second time I saw aarti. The other time I saw it in Haridwar.

After this, we guys went to Shani Shinganapur. About 60-70 kms away from Shirdi, this small town is unique in every sense. No house/shop has a door. This is because, they believe that if anybody indulges in stealing or robbery, he/she will be punished by Shani devta. So, in the heart of India, here is place where everybody is honest, very very honest infact. I had taken a pooja thali from a nearby shop. The shopowner said that I can pay money after visiting the temple. Now, where on earth, can this happen?

AurangabadThat was an end to religious part of our tour =) In the afternoon, we set off for Aurangabad. Reached there by evening. It’s a very small city, more famous for the nearby Ajanta-Ellora caves. Visited the Bibi-ka-makbara. It’s a poor cousin of Taj Mahal. Then, went to a restaurant named ‘Bhoj’. Had rajasthani thali - it was simply WoW! Dal-bhatti-churma, kadi, khichdi, fruit custard - Yumm!!

On Sunday, it was turn of Ellora caves! Built around 2000-2500 years back, these caves are an architecture marvel. They managed to build these mammoth caves at that time when there were no cranes, no modern technology, etc. Incredible stuff!!

Came back to Pune last night, and now I’m back in office =(

[Govind] There is so much to see in India.. so many places to visit… for people like you who stay abroad, its tough to give a visit to smaller towns/places..

[Mona] Yup, result for IIT-Delhi is out. Me in the wait list :( So, kinda struck in between. Neither in nor out. Will have to wait for couple of weeks to know my status.

That Taj Mahal duplicate is Bibi Ka Makbara.. Though the construction quality is not as good as the Taj, still its awesome to view. =)

ankur must have gotten that error by clicking on submit comment twice..usually happens when you click on submit once and then click on it again quickly..it thinks that u are writing another comment..

will be back again to comment on the post

poonam / March 15th, 2005, 8:13 pm / #

[Poonam] Yup.. you are correct.. that is the problem..!!

Manpreet / March 15th, 2005, 8:57 pm / #

I got the error, because I opened up different posts in two separate windows. And I pressed both the submit buttons within the gap of few secs :)

So I was told to slow down as there need to be gap of 15 seconds between two posts.

Manpreet, i made a post on my blog regarding stock market, your comments are welcome :D
