Time to move on with life…
Finally, the journey which took 21 months and 21 days is about to come to an end. It’s now the time to move on with life, and do what I always really wanted to do. Tuesday (i.e. 31st May’ 2005) will be my last day at Infosys. My stay at Infosys has been the one with mixed emotions, marked both with highs and lows. Memories of training days at Bangalore and the awesome fun & masti that I had in Pune will always remain etched in my mind.
Even though it was not quite like what I actually wanted, this journey has given me a lot – experience of working in a top notch corporate environment, ability to live and think independently, and above all lots of good friends – specially the folks at Pune =). I have spent some of my best days of life in this awesome city.
But, now I’m really looking forward to spending some time at home in Delhi, before I set off for Bombay in mid July. Hoping that I have made the right decision. =)
Signing off,
Manpreet

First of all, thanks to all of you for your wishes and encouraging comments!!
[Ankur] I haven’t decided that I would be closing the blog or not.. Depends on whether I get enough time or not.
[Poonam] Yeah, its certainly one of the best colleges in the country. But, there’s always a little feeling.. when you know that ur lifestyle will change completely in a matter of few days… will have to go to entirely new place.. where you hardly know anybody!! but, lets see how it goes
[Mannat] I’m really looking forward for ‘the’ experience
[Anil] Thanks dude!!
[Puneet] Exactly.. wot i was feeling.. i don’t know what to expect in MBA life… but.. it should be fun I guess :).. and yeah have to check out bombay’s party scene as well… if i get time from college :p

Yeah…..I understand. Humans are always intimidated by changes. But we also have the ability to adapt in no time. Especially if the change happens for good…..which in your case, it is….An IT guy is getting a chance to learn the managerial skills (and get smart)…how better could it get? Really, from my personal experience, managers with MBA’s have hard time working with IT guys…there way of thinking & our way of thinking is soooo different which usually leads to conflicts. But I know people in IT who also have an MBA…and it is so much fun working with them. So you sure r going in the right direction:smile:

IT and MBA cool combination…. Within 3-4 years it hopefully I would do MBA Biotechnology… many a times when I tell people..it sounds funny.. coz there isn’t such job profile only.. in any indian company as of now……lol ….. Many B school purposely take people from different background etc into mba so that it add more dimension and more… ideas…

just read what you wrote to Ankur. I am going to hold off on “updating” your blog until you fully decide if you are going to keep the blog. Don’t want my hardwork to go to waste.

Here… it was mentioned by Manpreet… that he is leaving Infosys on 31 May. So I thought… he will be in Delhi next day… simple logic

[Mannat] Yes, this is exactly what I feel, that its just the matter of time when this fear of leaving one’s comfort zone (in my case.. my job) goes away. Once we step onto the new path, we adapt our lives accordingly.
[Puneet] Yeah.. i know how it feels.. Applying for univs and then waiting for admission is such a frustrating experience… But, jo bhi hota hai, happens for good!! All the best for whatever you are indulging in
[Poonam] I will updating my blog surely.. but dunno.. how frequent.. I guess, I won’;t be closing down my blog!!
[Priya] Wah.. aaj to bade log aaye hain
Long time no see… hope everthing’s fine at ur end!
Waise, gana mast hai… pune se gaya dilli.. dilli se gaya bombay… ab bombay se patna na jane pade.. bus
Thanks for the wishes
