Dilli ki garmi!!
The heat is killing in Delhi. The city is so hot and arid these days. Yes’day, had to go to Gurgaon, which is about 2 hours away from my place. With sun at its full power, and add to that my car had gone for servicing, I had to travel in a DTC bus. Last time I travelled in DTC, was way back in Oct 2003!!
By the time I was back home after roaming around on Delhi/Gurgaon streets, my head was aching very much. After staying about 2 years in cooler cities - Bangalore and Pune, Delhi’s climate seems to be like hell. There is no relief, no matter where you go.
And when the climate here will become better and bearable, I will be going to Bombay, where its the humidity which kills the person. Wondering, how people lived when there were no ACs, water coolers, or even fans?
My remedy to beat the heat is drink roadside thirst quenchers - the good ol’ lemon soda, and apna ‘Banta’. I know they may not be hygenic, but they are better than the colas any day!!

Haan, garmi tho bahut hai Delhi main. Even around october its too hot there. Last year, I experienced it. It was burning like anything.
I read in news that, this year most of the cities in India are experiencing hot summer. Yahan pe bhi, aaj kal bahut garmi hai. Although its 30, its sultry n suffocating.

[Priya] Kha liye gol gappe…
[Madhu] Right!! Jaisa bhi hai.. atleast Delhi has public transport unlike the cities in US
[Puneet] It’s not the mumbai temp which i am afraid of… its the high humidity levels there.. really awful climate sometimes!!
[Poonam] Yeah.. bombay got its first rains of the season… hope the climate is good when i reach there
[Govind] 30 is cool dude… i’m talking of temp greater than 45 degrees!!
[Aaina] People are waiting for the rains.. doing puja’s.. pleasing the gods.. so that monsoons come sooner than later and quench the thirst of this parched land.
[Rash] Chennai.. pleasant weather??? Really?? I rem’ber i had gone to chennai in feb 2004… and it was so humid man!!
