Ganguly vs Chappell
This is the last thing that should have happened to Indian Cricket which was already realing under immense pressure after losing the one-dayers in Sri Lanka and then in Zimbabwe. But, now since it has come out in the media, steps should be take to rectify all shortcomings as soon as possible.
Chappell tried to instill discipline and perfection in the Indian Cricket Team. One can not find any fault with this, but Mr. Chappell should learn that Indian team is a bunch of players with larger then life self-esteems, and as long as their pockets are full, they don’t care a damn about their performance in the game. So, he has to follow what John Wright did. Be patient, give them a lot of space, and never be hard task-master.
Ganguly has done a lot of good for Indian Cricket. But, now the time has come, either he has to perform or he has to move out and make for the younger generation. He has got enough oppurtunities, and as apparent from his game, he’s not improving at all. Or, better still he should take a voluntary break, and work on his game, and then came back. It will do a lot of good both to Ganguly and Indian Cricket.
Update:
Whether Ganguly scores a century or not, I have completed 100 posts
Took me about 11 months. Not a bad strike rate! ![]()

hey.. congrats on tht 100th post..
and reg this Ganguly Chappell happenings, I feel in some way chappell coming up with his points was good… its hightime we set things right in our Indian cricketers.. but, am sad to see tht cricket is also liek politics nowadays.. really dirty politics there.
now, I don’t think both Ganguly and Greg can stay in the team together.. one has to go out and as far as Dalmiya is there in the board, he’ll make sure its Greg for sure..
Having Ganguly is not bad as far as he is performing…. if not then its turn for the youngsters..
ok, lets see what comes out of tomorrows meeting…
BTB, the new look is cool….. nice work.. is it for ur century??

Prasad: Yes, due to the politics currently prevailing in the team, the team is playing below par. And, if one has to go, I feel it should be Ganguly. He has already got a lot of chances, and he hasn’t been playing up to the mark. All he scored a mere century in span of 2 years and that too against Zimbabwe. You can’t keep Kaif just because of the reason that Ganguly played well long long time ago!!

Ankur: So, nothing happens… everything is pushed under the carpet… with cricket being the sole loser in the issue. I think this thhing will again popup very soon.
As for template, bus mood kar raha tha ki change kar doon.. to kar di. =)
Dreams: Thanks =)
Yes, cricket is being pushed to the back, politics is in the forefront. Ihope sense prevails…

We must bring back Ganguly if we want to win world cup.On his day he can just make match one sided and he is very agressive captain too.He should open the innings and not Gautam Gambhir. He sacrificed his fav place for Team India.

Greg chappel can help ganguly if the problem is for short ball.In west indies ground are short and we know how long Ganguly can hit the ball.Who can forget ganguly dancing down the wicket and destroying bowlers

Well, do not forget when INDIA went to south africa almost everyone failed,it was ganguly who was hitting sixes of shaun pullock. He can improve on his weakness and if everyone feels he cant play fast bouncing ball then he can come down the order though we should never forget he is one of the best openers India hav ever got.
