Chappad Phad Ke

A month back, I had booked tickets for Delhi on Kingisher Airlines for 1st Nov. But, thanks to the people at IIT, we are getting a few more holidays. Yuhoooo! So, as a result I have decided to change my travel plans accordingly, and prepone my visit :)

Initially, I was finding it difficult to get tickets for home for this Diwali. Situation was like that there was no tickets even on waitlist for any train from Mumbai to Delhi. Its real tough to get hold of tickets during Diwali - every airline & every train is choc-a-block with people.

But, the intelligent & resourceful guy in me somehow (don’t ask me how) managed to latch on some deals, and as a result have these options now:
~ Kingfisher Airlines tickets which I got preponed
~ Rajdhani ticket - Bought it from somebody else
~ SpiceJet ticket - Got it today

Kehte hai na, jab bhagwan deta hai to chappar phad ke deta hai :p

So, out of all these choices:
~ Kingfisher is certainly the best anyday, but is also the most expensive. And, for a jobless dude, its a complete NO NO!
~ Rajdhani is the cheapest, but the issue is that the ticket is in somebody’s else name. Add to that, it will take bloody 18 hours to reach my destination. That is 9 times more than an airplane!
~ And, as for SpiceJet is concerned - got it a resonable price, but its scheduled to take off a day earlier than I would like to go.

Yes, yes.. lots of choices does spoils you. A week back, I was ready to go by any medium to Delhi. But, now with so many options available, I have started counting pro’s and con’s of each. :D As of now, SpiceJet looks the best - becuase of one big reason, it will give me one more day to spend in Delhi ;) The only problem with is that I will have to miss out on 2-3 lectures. But, will it really be a problem? Or, is it a boon? That’s always a debatable question! Right? Hehe :)
