But, one freak match changed everything. Two teams who are the major contenders of the next year’s world cup made mockery of all records in a single day.

Highest Total successfully chased - 438
Most number of sixes in a match - 26
Most number of fours in a match - 87
Highest aggregate total of a match - 872
Most expensive bowling - 113 runs in 10 overs
And, there are many many more…..
Whew.. what a match!! I watched the last 30 odd overs of the South African innings, and I’m amazed by the way they took this as a challenge, and won at the end. I doubt whether Indian Team would had even reached 300 when confronted with that sort of score from Australia. Hats off to both teams!! I pity the bowlers who got smacked all around the park. With time, I guess it would be better to replace these bowlers with bowling machines - ‘coz for the likes of Pontings, Gilchrists, Gibbs, Smiths, Afridis, Dhonis, Sehwags etc, it doesn’t matter who is bowling, only thing that matters is that the ball has to be hit out of the stadium. Period.
I can’t say anything more. There will be things which may happen in the game of cricket. This match proved right whatever is said about the game of cricket. This is the certainly the greatest game of cricket ever, till date.
PS: Any guesses when this record will be broken, and which country can break it?

a fabulous match indeed.. i didn’t miss the match too..
records will be broken. and am sure the way cricket is going nowadays, this can also be broken someday… who knows, it can also be our Indian team

Prasad: Yeah.. agreed record are made to be broken.. but I don’t think India can ever do that unless Sehwag or Dhoni plays a real freak innings!!
