Fantastic Weekend @ Pune

According to the IITB Computer Centre, I’m ranked #1 on the top internet users list in my b-school and #97 in whole of IITB for the month of March’ 06. Hehe. For the record, I made about 30110 hits i.e. averaged just about 1000 hits a day. Whew!!

Atleast, I’m making full use of the internet facilities over here. LOL! ;)

Anyways, past 1 week has been very good over all (if you don’t consider the academics, and specially my marks in marketing-2 quiz). Went to Pune after about 6-7 months. Had last visited the city in September’ 05. After a evening class on Friday, I left campus for Pune at around 8.15pm. Caught a train from Kanjur Marg for Dadar. Took a bus from there to Pune. And, finally reached Pune at about 2am. Phew… it took me almost 6 hours from Powai to Pune.. thanks to Mumbai traffic :(

But, immediately on reaching over there, I forgot about everything else. The sheer pleasure of meeting old friends, having a hot cup of coffee along with them, singing RD Burman numbers in full volume in middle of a restaurant changed my mood drastically. Kinda made me nostalgic and reminded about the good old days. Ah!

At 4 in the late evening (or early morning?), we drove out of the restaurant towards home. I was sitting behind a friend on his bike… and gawd he was crazy that day. He clocked 110 kmph on Pune roads!!! I told him ki mujhe mba to puri karne de bhai… aur abhi to meri shaadi bhi nahin hai!! Fortunately, we reached home safe and sound.

Next day went something like this:
Cricket - Breakfast @ Ishwar - Cricket - Lunch @ Horn OK - Coffee @ Cafe Coffee Day - Sugar Cane Juice - Chuski - Cricket yet again - and finally had fundoo authentic Italian food @ Little Italy (awesome place.. awesome ambience).

Then, spent sunday lazing around at home. Caught a return bus at about 7pm, and finally was back in hostel at 11pm.

Overall an fantastic weekend. Would love to have all my Saturdays-Sundays go like this :)

BTW, one of our seniors has made this lovely video depicting the two wonderful years they had over here at School of Management, IITB. Have a look! :)
