Gimme a break!

It’s almost 3 in the morning, but I’m still unable to sleep. Have an exam tomorrow afternoon. No, no… that’s not the reason why I’m awake. Infact, these exams don’t matter much to me, have already written so many of these in my life, that I’ve got used to them.

Couple of my very, very close friends are getting married soon. Yeah, thats awesome news, and I’m really happy for them.

But then, what’s the problem?

The problem is the question I’m posed these days almost every time when I talk to my relatives, uncles, aunties.. blah blah - “Beta, tera number kab aa raha hai?”

Such a stupid question - when my turn will come, I’ll let them know - as easy as that. How does it matters to them at all? Yes, I do find it amusing sometimes, and I simply ignore all this stuff. But, how do you tackle when somebody go to the extent of even suggesting a girl for marriage with me. Whew.. why don’t these people gimme a break?

Studying is the easiest way to avoid the question. Jab tak padh rahe ho tab tak jyaada question nahi kar sakte. Enjoy the times, when you become 40 years old they won’t ask you these questions, so enjoy the attention that you are getting. It won’t last for long. Aur waise bhi…tera number kab aa raha hai beta?
