Now its Dell :(

2007 hasn’t been a great year for me so far.

First, it was the Air Sahara episode. And, now its Dell.

My Dell laptop’s hard-disk conked off. I ran diagnostics tests on the laptop and found that the hard drive has bad sectors. Moreover, the warranty had expired too :(

So, was forced to shell out money to replace it.

Luckily, I managed to retrieve my data using Ubuntu’s Live CD - it’s first time I’ve realized that a Linux distro can be helpful for a normal user as well. Long live Ubuntu! Long live open source!

What another experience … poor you … I had this experience before, I got a problem with hard-disk Dell laptop, luckily, it’s company’s laptop … I just need to return it.
