Apple iPhone 3G
Twice as fast. Half the Price. That is iPhone 3G for you.
Apple is going to launch the 3G version of iPhone next week, and it is going to cost just about $199 (approx Rs. 8500). That is a steal in IMO.
Lets see when they are going to launch it here in India.

note that the price starts at $199. That’s the key word…..
They are suppose to launch it at 12 countries globally on July 12…I would be surprised if India is not on that list..but I guess it could be.

If the rumors are right - around Diwali. Good to have a choice b/w Airtel and Vodafone.

Harry: It’s going to be launched around Diwali.
Poonam: India is not on the list for July launch for sure.
Gaurav: Yes, its good to know that both Airtel & Vodafone will be launching iPhone in India. That means existing subscribers won’t have to change their mobile numbers if they wish to buy iPhone.

ya you are right.. its september or something.. originally it sounded like they were going to launch iphone 1.0 in India but now it makes more sense that they will launch the new version.
