The iPhone impact!

With a device that was slow, had no 3G support, had a poor camera, no bluetooth support, no GPS functionality and an expensive price tag, Apple was still able to get 25%+ marketshare of the US market.

Now, just imagine the kind of impact Apple can make in Nokia/Motorola/SE/RIM’s sales, by launching a faster iPhone, with GPS, with 3G, and at half the previous price in 22 countries this year.

It’s going to be explosive, irrespective of the shortcomings I posted earlier.

The original iPhone does have bluetooth. We have used it on Neeraj’s phone. Yep definitely the 3G would be nice..but you know the internet speed on the EDGE network is bearable. Its not like GPRS which is very slow.

Im kinda wondering how it created such a huge impact? It surely wasnt the first touch screen phone. Maybe it was more than a regular touch screen, very easy to flip through pics, maximize, minimize them.

It was more a style statement than features.

If vodafone launches iphone above 25k, im not sure how many people it can attract. Im certainly NOT going for it, if priced 25K+.
